Rome to Nice

We cycled (most of the way) from Rome to Pisa! It took 10 days to complete including two rest days. We decided to skip a particularly difficult section from Siena to Florence because we were exhausted after riding up and down hills all day every day, so we took a bus instead. Besides that, we biked (or pushed) the whole way! From no training to repeated 1000+ foot climbs, 90+ degree weather, and 90 pound bikes. For us, this was quite the feat. Our Italy ride totaled 217 miles. Looking forward to France!

Our last stop in Italy was Pisa and its famous leaning tower!

After thoroughly enjoying Italy and eating way too much gelato, pizza and pasta, we hopped on a few trains and headed to the French Riveria. The beach is beautiful, the city of Nice is full of color, the water’s divine, and the nightlife is wild.
