As we sit in a hotel room in rural, southern Colorado, temperatures are dropping by the minute, rain and then snow are falling from the sky, and the air is so filled with smoke from wildfires that visibility is limited to a few hundred feet. After spending the last five weeks hiking, biking, tubing and exploring with beautiful, clear, sunny days it’s becoming clear that summer is coming to an end. So too is our time in this scenic state.
We left Steamboat Springs a week ago and spent the last week traveling back and forth around Colorado, trying to take in as much of it as we can. This quiet time in the hotel is a perfect way to prepare ourselves for the transition away from the outdoor adventures we’ve been enjoying to a quick month back to work in Los Angeles.
